We are seeking a talented full-time yard warehouse worker to join our team.
Responsibilities include safely and efficiently load/unload customers' vehicles and incoming freight deliveries, handling lumber and building materials, picking orders, stocking & counting inventory, assisting with deliveries as needed.
Building material knowledge a plus, basic math skills required, must be able to complete forklift certification.
Requirements:
Must be able to drive and operate a forklift safely Accurately complete and sign tickets Stock all materials when needed Work effectively as a team Communicate effectively via two-way radio Learn and understand all products and their locations Be courteous to customers Bending, pushing, pulling items weighing up to 100 lbs.
Loading lumber, plywood & sheetrock into customer vehicles Bunk orders consisting of various materials Keep the yard and warehouse clean at all times Stay busy at all times Complete the daily forklift inspection sheet Learn all processes and procedures dealing with changes and return ticket Communicate effectively with co-workers Load and unload customer vehicles by hand/forklift Come to work on time and be dressed according to company policy Timely completion of special projects Qualifications, skills, and other Details Must be organized and detail-oriented with a strong will to meet deadlines and project goals.
Must possess great interpersonal skills yet able to work alone General computer skills are necessary with a background in Microsoft Programs Ability and desire to learn internal company systems and software Other Key Factors Always maintain personal integrity Provide appropriate and timely feedback to management Practice personal development, organization, and time management Adhere to all company policies and procedures Personify the TALBERT Core Values of Teamwork, Accountability, Learning, Balance, Empowerment, Respect and Trust Hours and Schedule This is a full-time position typically 40 hours per week Benefits Competitive hourly rate A great working environment with typically no weekends required Full benefits package including health insurance paid time off paid holidays, and 401(k).
